PDF Crochet pattern for my sleek, torso warming You Tell Me dickey. Pattern is one size, but is completely customizable with help and directions to do so found in the pattern PDF. It features a beautiful faux knit look, high neck and detachable belt. This pattern uses slip stitch ribbing, and yarn over slip stitch in third loop ribbing. While it is not a beginner pattern, if you are somewhat experienced in crocheting I would say it's a good first bigger project for the stitches used.

This pattern is made with 6mm/J and 9mm/M hooks and uses approximately 500 meters of bulky yarn. It is a written pattern with step by step instructions, no images for each step. It is in English and uses standard US terminology, with specifics given in both metric and imperial units.

When I started working on this pattern, I found myself completely unable to explain what I was doing when people asked me. At first I said it was a vest with no sides, then a bib but longer, a sweater with no sleeves, maybe a poncho but not quite, a dickey but with a belt and sometimes without a belt. Even though it made perfect sense in my mind, my response always seemed to ask more questions than it answered. So at the finishing stages, when people would curiously ask "what'cha makin?", I just shrugged and said "You Tell Me."
