It features a beautiful faux knit look, and can be worn straight and slouchy, or rolled up for a clean look. This pattern yarn over slip stitch in third loop ribbing, with some increases/decreases. While it is not a beginner pattern, if you are somewhat experienced in crocheting I would say it's a good first bigger project for the stitches used.
