A real conversation starter!!! The special interest cardigan can be made in 2 different lengths, with or without buttons and made to say anything you want! (Or don't, the text is completely optional). It has a wide, straight fit with sleeves that taper slightly. 
This pattern is crocheted top down, flat. You start by working the yoke, and at the armpit the work is separated and sleeves and body are worked separately. At the same time you will work an optional color chart. All openings are finished with a yarn over slip stitch ribbing. The color chart is accessed to download through the QR code on the final page of this pattern.

I am 176 cm tall, with a chest measurement of 82 cm and I’m wearing the long version in size 85, and the short version in size 105.

Bella by Permin (145m/50g, 75% kid mohair, 20% wool, 5% polyamide)
3 rows of text: Approximately 250 (250) 250 (300) 300 (350) 400 (400) 450 grams of the base color
4 rows of text: Approximately 300 (300) 300 (350) 350 (400) 450 (450) 500 grams of the base color
 
Both text options require approximately 50 grams of accent color yarn.
 
Hook: 3mm and 4mm
Other: Tapestry needle, 4 stitch markers.
For the buttoned version: 4 buttons, approximately 3 cm in diameter.
 
This pattern uses lightweight worsted/aran yarn. My samples are made in Bella which has approximately 145 meters per 50 g yarn (as opposed to "normal" worsted weight that has approx 80-90 meters per 100 g). Using cotton or a tightly spun wool yarn is not advisable. Gauge for 10x10 cm: 14 stitches by 10 rows in half double crochet through the back loop only on hook 4mm, or hook needed to meet gauge. Gauge is measured after blocking, so remember to block your gauge swatch.
 
Methods
Half double crochet - yarn over, insert hook in advised loop, yarn over and pull through the first loop on hook, yarn over and pull through all loops on hook.
Yarn over slip stitch - yarn over, insert hook in the advised loop, pull yarn through all loops on hook.
