PDF Crochet pattern for my chunky, warm 'World's Oldest Kindergartner' bib/neckwarmer. Pattern is one size, but is completely customizable with help and directions to do so found in the pattern PDF. It features a beautiful faux knit look and a turtleneck that can be work folded down or standing up for your preferred look. This pattern uses slip stitch ribbing, and yarn over slip stitch in third loop ribbing. While it is not a beginner pattern, if you are somewhat experienced in crocheting I would say it's a good first bigger project for the stitches used. Tutorial for the yarn over slip stitch can be found in the IGTV section of my instagram @honsedesign
This pattern is made with 10mm hooks and uses approximately 300 meters of super bulky yarn. It is a written pattern with step by step instructions, no images for each step. It is in English and uses standard US terminology, with specifics given in both metric and imperial units.
I live in one of the windiest cities in Sweden, and no matter what you wear in the winter, some part of you is always gonna be exposed. The constant covering up got me thinking about my field days in kindergarten, where my mom would always force me to wear a neckwarmer with a turtleneck. Back then I hated it, but since moving to a town where the windchill factor is the only thing you consider when getting dressed, I've reevaluated my stance. This neck warmer fits perfectly under any coat, and is a perfect garment for those in-between-days, where it's not cold enough to wear a sweater, but just wearing a blouse is a tad to cold.
